Common Fox
We have caught a lot of foxes on our trap cameras. They seem to follow fixed routes and be active all though the night.They mainly eat small rodents such as mice and voles.

Badger
We have seen many badgers on our trap cameras. They too follow fixed routes and they have often been seen rooting around in the soil.They are omnivorous in that they will eat pretty much anything, but they definitely seem to like rooting around for worms and grubs and seem partial to the black laurel berries which colours their scat.

These can regularly be seen walking across our trap cameras: they can be clearly identified by their white hind quarters. They are quite nervous and easilly spooked. They often move around in small herds. The males (stags) have small antlers.They are herbiverous and feed on grass and leaves.

Rabbits
These are always setting off the trap camers and we seem to have a very large population of rabbitts at Brambletye. The feed throughout the night and can also regularly be seen lounging on the grass outside the music room.They eat mainly grass and plants found in lawns and help to keep our lawns trimmed!

Grey Squirrel
There is a healthy population of grey squirrels at Brambletye and they are often seen jumping through the treetops acrobatically. They can also be seen forageing on the woodland floor, hiding and retreiving acorns and nuts that they have collected. Squirrels help to the trees to disperse their seeds.They eat mainly seeds and nuts.

Wood Mouse
These are fast-moving mice with a long smooth tails. They jump around when moving and have particular runs that they follow when they are startled.They eat mainly seeds, nuts and berries.
